One of our goals here at TEXAAN is to serve our members by supporting each region. Our regions conduct professional development networking opportunities and drive-ins to facilitate connections amongst advising professionals in the region so that they can engage in focused conversations and share best practices. 

These events often provide a platform for advising professionals to exchange ideas, collaborate, and stay updated on the latest trends and developments in their field.

    This interactive session explores practical strategies for cultivating belonging and inclusive support systems within academic advising. Participants will learn how to identify barriers faced by diverse student populations, apply culturally responsive advising practices, and use data-informed strategies to enhance academic persistence and holistic development. Case studies from Texas institutions will illustrate how relational advising can bridge equity gaps and strengthen student engagement.
